With a checkered green and white tablecloth, freshly picked roses, and bowls full of fresh strawberries, Ranveig Lia has set the most beautiful summer table. Here, two of Porsgrund's collections –Jordbæreng (Strawberry Field) and our oven-safe collection – meet in a setting that feels both nostalgic and cozy, but with glasses from Norgesglasset.
With its delicate strawberry plants and raspberry-red details, Jordbæreng is the epitome of Norwegian summer. Ranveig combines large and small plates from the series for a layered and inviting table, and repeats the pattern on pitchers and bowls for decoration and serving. The result is a table setting that feels thoughtful without being overworked – just as a good summer dinner should be.
The characteristic glasses with the "Norge" text are a small piece of Norwegian design history, and on Ranveig's table, they bring in a rustic, effortless feel. The water pitcher and the various glasses from the series are filled with ice-cold water or homemade strawberry juice, becoming a natural focal point between the classic dinnerware and the fresh colors of roses and berries.
The white, oval dishes and bowls from our ovenproof range are made to go straight from the oven and out into the garden. At Ranveig’s, they are used for everything from a warm cake to a fresh tomato and mozzarella salad with basil – a reminder that the best series are the ones you actually use, every day and for parties.
It's the details that make the setting: a single rose tied to a linen napkin, strawberries floating in the drinking glasses, and an abundance of pink roses in the middle of the table. Ranveig shows that you don't need much to create a beautiful summer moment – just the right elements, put together with care.
Assemble your own summer table with Jordbæreng, Norgesglasset, and the oven-safe series – you can find it all in our online store.
