In the Opera House in Bjørvika we find Argent Restaurant, now known as Havsmak. The artwork that adorns the restaurant consists of cast porcelain elements forming an striking relief on the wall, creating a unique visual experience.
Originally designed for the restaurant's first concept, these specially designed wall tiles from Porsgrund Porselen have been retained and painted in a soft white colour resembling stucco walls, creating a harmonious connection with the surrounding interior.
The design, developed in collaboration with Radius Design during the Opera House's construction period, was inspired by the Opera House's architecture and Snøhetta's vision of an iceberg rising from the sea. The white colour palette and organic forms mirror the character of the building and create an elegant, timeless atmosphere. After 15 years of operation, the Furset Group wished to refresh their concept, and the restaurant was renamed Havsmak, but the unique porcelain tiles were retained as a distinctive feature of the interior.
