Spire from Porsgrunds Porselænsfabrik is a delicate dinnerware set in white porcelain with beautiful relief decoration. The dinnerware can be used for everyday meals, but is just as suitable for festive occasions. The shapes are inspired by the decorative element Spire itself, which stretches elegantly upwards. The Spire dinnerware was first launched in 1952 and was designed by Konrad Galaaen, who was employed at Porsgrunds Porselænsfabrik in 1947. Christian Svinddal and Nora Olafsdatter Krogh have designed new shapes for a revitalization of Spire, adapted for modern everyday life. The design language and decoration remain true to Konrad Galaaen's concept, where the interplay between shapes and decoration is central.
