When Porsgrund Porselænsfabrik wanted its own knitting pattern, it was natural to draw inspiration locally. Therefore, the colours and pattern were inspired by shirt embroideries from the traditional Øst-Telemark bunad. The combination of knitting, bunad, and porcelain forms a perfect synergy, and we hope this can be a tribute to Norwegian craftsmanship.

When Porsgrund Porselænsfabrik wanted its own knitting pattern, it was natural to draw inspiration locally. Therefore, the colours and pattern were inspired by shirt embroideries from the traditional Øst-Telemark bunad. The combination of knitting, bunad, and porcelain forms a perfect synergy, and we hope this can be a tribute to Norwegian craftsmanship.
The colours are a clear reference to the bunad universe; in addition to a toned-down dinnerware set in shades of grey, mugs will also be available in exciting colour combinations. With this dinnerware, we also hope to contribute to the joy of knitting through patterns for garments with the same design.
