Spire from Porsgrunds Porselænsfabrik is a delicate dinnerware set in white porcelain with beautiful relief decoration. The dinnerware can be used every day, but is equally suitable for festive occasions. The shapes are inspired by the decorative element Spire (Sprout) itself, which elegantly stretches upwards. The Spire dinnerware was first launched in 1952 and was designed by Konrad Galaaen, who was employed at Porsgrunds Porselænsfabrik in 1947. Christian Svinddal and Nora Olafsdatter Krogh have designed new forms for a revitalisation of Spire adapted to modern everyday life. The design language and decoration remain true to Konrad Galaaen's concept, where the interplay between forms and decoration is central.
