Lysebu x Jette Frölich

The series is designed by the renowned Danish artist Jette Frölich, known for her delicate paper-cutting art and poetic design language.

For over 50 years, Jette Frölich has been an integral part of Danish Christmas celebrations, and her ability to create atmosphere through light, details, and tradition has made her an icon in Nordic Christmas art. Every winter, she travels to Lysebu to decorate the hotel for Christmas – a cherished tradition that fills the house with warmth, light, and anticipation.

Inspired by Lysebu's history

Frölich has drawn inspiration from Lysebu, the historic Norwegian hotel gifted to Denmark after World War II – a symbol of friendship between the two countries. The porcelain houses are faithful replicas of Lysebu's iconic buildings, recreated from Frölich's own paper cuttings and models.
