Designers

Maud Gjeruldsen Buggehas worked on product development for companies such as Hadeland Glassverk, Steninge Slott, and Porsgrunds Porselænsfabrik since she completed her master's degree at the National College of Art and Design in 1989. In addition, she has worked on larger ornamentation projects and her work has been acquired by institutions including the National Museum, Department of Decorative Arts and Design. In 1996, the Brilliant glassware series, designed by Bugge, was awarded the Mark for Good Design.

Cathrine Kirkerud has a BA in graphic design from The Scandinavian Design College in Denmark and Westerdals School of Communication in 2014. She has previously worked in agencies in both Copenhagen and Oslo in the fields of graphic design, digital design, illustration, and information graphics.

Lisbeth Lutnæs trained in graphic design in Trondheim, graduating in 1987. She has worked in an advertising agency and for several years as a designer in the publishing industry. She has run her own company for 15 years, with a broad range of commissions in graphic design, illustration, book design, and web design for both private and public sectors.

Christian Svinddal graduated with a BA in Graphic Design from Central Saint Martins School of Art and Design in London in 2010. He previously worked at StudioXAG in London, designing window displays and installations for major brands such as Adidas and Calvin Klein.

Erik L. Lindberg is an industrial designer with a BA from OsloMet and an MA from the Oslo School of Architecture and Design, graduating in 2010. Lindberg enjoys working in product, 3D design, and digital fabrication, and is particularly focused on maintaining functionality alongside aesthetics when working on a project. Before joining Porsgrund, Erik worked as Head of Product Development at Figgjo AS.

Karianne Elmholt Tønnessen graduated as a graphic designer from Westerdals School of Communication in 2006. She has previously worked as a designer at Tibe United advertising agency and Cox/Oktan Oslo. Here, she worked with a number of major brands and companies, both Norwegian and international, and has won several Farmand awards.

Tias Eckhoff was an industrial designer and is behind some of the foremost design classics in Norwegian design history. Tias studied at the National College of Art, Craft and Design. In 1949, he was employed by Porsgrund Porcelain Factory, and during his time in Porsgrund, he designed, among other things, the well-known dinnerware set Det Riflede.

Konrad Galaaen worked as a designer at PP for 43 years. Galaaen studied at the Norwegian National Academy of Craft and Art Industry. He was employed at PP in 1947, and during his time at the factory, he developed, among other things, the design classic Spire, which was in production for more than 30 years. This series has now been re-launched and redesigned true to Galaaen's concept to suit a modern everyday life.

Nora Gulbrandsen studied at the National College of Art, Craft and Design. She was artistic director at PP from 1928 to 1945, Gulbrandsen was known for her use of formal elements in her work. Her spherical vases, among other things, are one of Nora Gulbrandsen's legacies.

Grete Rønning was a ceramist and industrial designer, from the Norwegian National Academy of Craft and Art Industry. She was employed by PP in 1960 and worked on decorations for dinnerware such as Marguerite. In 1984, the Saturn dinnerware set became available on the market. The dinnerware series features various decorations, but Citron by Ferdinand Finne is probably the most well-known.
