There are many options!

Perhaps you recognize yourself in an overflowing Pinterest board and tons of ideas from wedding magazines? There are many possibilities, and it can quickly become overwhelming.

Stine Gjørtz, CEO of Porsgrunds Porselænsfabrik, has some good advice:

– Take a look at your home and the interior you've chosen where you live or where you plan to use the dinnerware. Do you want the dinnerware to match and be an extension of the style you already have? Or do you want a contrast? Both can work well, she says.

If you're unsure about your style, the tip is to choose something you enjoy looking at, can grow to love, and that you think you'll appreciate for many years to come.

Also consider the wedding's setting: is it grand and magnificent or small and intimate? Colors are also important. Decide on a main color for flowers, tablecloths, and decor, and use accent colors and neutral tones for balance.

Vintage Style – Old Memories Mixed with New

A vintage style is perfect for blending old and new. Porsgrund's collaboration with by TiMo combines romantic elements with modern elegance.

– What we inherit or buy second-hand often has a beauty about it that touches our hearts, says Stine.
Decorate with lace fabric, nostalgic floral patterns, and old silverware. Ribbons in soft shades and a mix of colors create a personal and charming atmosphere.

The classic wedding style – timeless and elegant

Clean lines, white flowers, and beautiful details. The classic style is elegant and timeless. The Spire tableware from Porsgrund, launched in 1952, has been given new life in a modern edition.

“Feel free to combine classic and vintage,” suggests Stine. “Perhaps one set can be for breakfast and the other for dinner?”

Colorful style – playful and vibrant

Create an informal and energetic atmosphere with vibrant colours. Combine flowers, fruit, and textiles in bold colours. Opt for colourful tableware or neutral base products that allow the decorations to take centre stage.

The minimalist style – simple and natural

Minimalist style is all about clean lines and natural materials. Combine with elements from nature: sand, shells, and linen. The Natur and Ellie collections create a calm and clean look.

The Rustic Style – Earthy and Traditional

The rustic wedding style is perfect for garden parties or barn weddings. Decorate with flower garlands, straw, and linen. Combine materials such as wood, wicker, and hemp.

Elegant and romantic style – gold, glow, and gleam

Dusty pink, gold, and bone china create an elegant and romantic atmosphere. The Nathalie Gull dinnerware features real gold in its decor, giving it an exclusive look. The Cecilie series is a perfect match.

Base it on yourselves

Can't decide on a single style? Find the common thread in your story. Where did you meet? What do you love doing together? Perhaps it's a ski trip, a city break, or a mountain hike that inspires you.

"It's often a success when guests recognize a common thread in the couple getting married," says Stine Gjørtz.
