The auction hall is located in the same building as the Porcelain Factory and is a paradise for collectors. Here you will find great second-hand bargains on porcelain and other antiques.
The auction hall, which sells vintage PP, is housed in the building of Porsgrunds Porselænsfabrik AS, erected in 1886. The auction hall features exciting antiques, fine retro objects, and unique collectibles. There is great variety and a good selection of goods. Here you can find great deals on second-hand porcelain. Feel free to get in touch if you would like to know more or wish to have an item valued.

Valuation and history of Porsgrund porcelain
Unfortunately, Porsgrunds Porselænsfabrik cannot assign a value to historical porcelain products, as this is always determined by the market and demand. If you are considering selling your dinnerware, we recommend contacting the specialists at Auksjonshallen or your local antique dealer.
Porsgrunds Porselænsfabrik has produced countless different dinnerware sets. These have mostly been mass-produced, but there are exceptions with, for example, special orders for companies and the traditional factory sales at the factory. Many items are unstamped but were still produced at the factory. Until the early 80s, decor numbers were common, and very few dinnerware sets were given names. At that time, it was the model that bore the name, such as the Astra or Vega model.
An overview of historical PP stamps and signatures can be found in the National Library's digital edition of "Gammelt Porsgrund - Klenodier verdt å eie" (Old Porsgrund - Treasures Worth Owning). A useful tool for dating production.
On Facebook, there are a couple of very good forums where you can post pictures and ask PP enthusiasts about almost anything. The groups are called "Porsgrund porselen-Kjøp-Salg-Bytte" (Porsgrund porcelain-Buy-Sell-Trade) and "Porsgrunn Porselen samlere, kjøp/salg" (Porsgrunn Porcelain collectors, buy/sell). Here you must request to become a member, and then you can post and read about lots of beautiful old porcelain. We emphasize that these pages are not under the auspices of Porsgrunds Porselænsfabrik, but are run by private enthusiasts on a hobby basis.
