The Porcelain Museum in Porsgrunn is a fascinating destination that offers visitors insight into over 130 years of porcelain tradition. The museum, located next door to Porsgrunds Porselænsfabrik, showcases the development from the first firing in 1887 to today's production, where the iconic straw pattern is still painted by hand. Through exhibitions featuring over 1,000 objects combined with digital installations, one can learn about the factory's rich history and how tradition and technology go hand in hand in porcelain production.

A visit to the Porcelain Museum also offers guided tours that include a glimpse into the factory itself, where one can see how porcelain is created, fired, and decorated.
