A practical and decorative butter crock in refractory porcelain for those who love real butter. Real butter gets hard in the refrigerator, so the butter crock is perfect for keeping butter soft and fresh at room temperature. The butter crock is a 200-year-old French invention, and is just as relevant today as it was then.
Its timeless shape and white color make it look equally good on the breakfast table as on the kitchen counter.
A small but well-executed product that combines function and tradition.
How to use the butter crock:
- Soften the butter
Leave the butter at room temperature until soft (not melted). - Fill the butter into the lid
Press the butter firmly into the upper part (the bell/lid). - Fill water into the base
Pour cold water into the base, usually 1–2 cm (so the edge of the butter section is covered when placed in). - Assemble
Turn the lid with butter upside down and place it in the base with water.
The water creates an airtight seal that protects the butter. - Serve
Place the crock on the table, remove the lid, and place it on the table with the butter crock facing up. The butter is soft and ready to spread on a delicious, freshly baked slice of bread.
- Change the water
The water at the bottom of the crock should be changed approx. every 3 days.

For optimal cooling effect, place the product in the freezer well in advance of use. When the wine cooler is to be used, pour a glass of cold water into the cooler and then insert the wine.
Can also be used to keep mineral water or other drinks cool on warm days.
