High-fired feldspar porcelain is the quality of porcelain Porsgrunds Porselænsfabrik has produced since 1887, i.e., from the very beginning. High-fired porcelain is considered the noblest quality of porcelain and is characterized by being translucent white with a clear, lustrous glaze. High-fired porcelain consists solely of pure natural materials, is 100% impervious, very robust, and suitable for both festive occasions and everyday use.
The white porcelain from Porsgrund has traditionally been called "white gold." This speaks volumes about the high status this material held in Norway during the 20th century. Now, they proudly continue the tradition with white gold of the finest quality.
