The Bondemønster pattern was launched in 1932 and has, over time, acquired an increasing number of pieces. Along with the Nisseserviset (Gnome Dinnerware), Bondemønster is among the most traditional dinnerware sets we have in Norway. We at Porsgrunds Porselen are proud to carry on this part of Norwegian cultural heritage.

High-fired feldspar porcelain is the porcelain quality that Porsgrunds Porselænsfabrik has produced since 1887, i.e., from the very beginning. High-fired porcelain is considered the noblest quality of porcelain and is characterized by being translucent white with a clear, glossy glaze. High-fired porcelain consists only of pure natural materials, is 100% dense, very robust, and is well-suited for both festive occasions and everyday use.

The white porcelain from Porsgrund has traditionally been called "white gold." This speaks volumes about the high status this material held in Norway during the 20th century. Now, they proudly continue the tradition with white gold of the finest quality.

Product maintenance
Dishwasher: Porcelain with overglaze decorations, especially gold and platinum, are more susceptible to wear and we therefore recommend washing by hand. In general, we recommend gentle washing and the use of rinse aid, as this maintains the glaze's shine and extends the life of your dinnerware. Microwave: Items with gold or platinum decoration must not be used in the microwave. Oven: We do not recommend placing porcelain items with gold or platinum decoration in the oven.
